We are proud to announce that Jakob Provo, Associate Attorney at Prochaska, Howell & Prochaska, has been selected for the Wichita Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 class of 2025. This honor recognizes young professionals in the Wichita area who demonstrate excellence in their careers, leadership in their industries, and commitment to their communities.
Jakob’s dedication to justice and advocacy has been a driving force throughout his legal career. Since joining PHP Law Firm as an intern in 2018, and then an associate attorney in 2019, he has made a profound impact in the field of medical malpractice litigation, working tirelessly to secure justice for individuals and families affected by catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. His meticulous approach to legal strategy, combined with his unwavering compassion for his clients, has earned him a reputation as a rising leader in the legal community.
Beyond the courtroom, Jakob is deeply invested in advancing the legal profession and giving back to his community. He holds multiple leadership roles within the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, Chair of the Amicus Curiae Committee, is both a founding member of the New Trial Lawyers division and has held the position as chair of the New Trial Lawyers Committee for over four consecutive years. Jakob also serves on KTLA’s executive committee, board of governors, education committee, and nominating committee.
Jakob’s legal scholarship has been widely recognized. He has authored and coauthored multiple amicus curiae briefs to the Kansas Supreme Court. Additionally, Jakob has had over 15 published articles in esteemed legal journals with his articles being published in Kansas, Nebraska, and in two national journals. It is no wonder that Jakob has been called on numerous times to present to his peers regarding key legal issues affecting laws, litigation, and the courtroom.
Jakob’s commitment to his community extends far beyond the legal profession. He actively volunteers for youth mentorship programs, including Campus High School’s “Life Happens” event, Haysville’s GEAR UP for College Access program, student job shadowing initiatives, and Coleman Middle School’s Get-a-Job mock interviews. Jakob also dedicates his time to volunteering with Paws in Oz, an animal welfare organization, and serves on Kansas Wesleyan University’s Alumni Council, staying connected to the institution that helped shape his academic journey.
At PHP Law Firm, we have the privilege of witnessing Jakob’s passion, work ethic, and commitment to justice firsthand. His recognition in the 40 Under 40 class is a testament to his professional achievements and his dedication to making a difference—both in the lives of his clients and in the Wichita community.
Congratulations, Jakob, on this well-deserved honor!
