The Prochaska, Howell & Prochaska LLC Law Firm was a recent table sponsor of the Annual Bootlegger’s Ball, the Wichita Family Crisis Center’s signature fundraising event of the year. The Wichita Family Crisis Center relies on generous donations generated from the yearly event to further its mission of eliminating domestic violence within the community. All event proceeds directly benefit local victims and families of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
The annual event took place on Saturday, March 6th, but for the first time in the event’s history, it was hosted virtually to ensure all attendees’ health and safety. Attendees were still encouraged to dress up in their finest 1920s-inspired attire and enjoy bootlegged beverages! There were also opportunities to bid on silent auction and live auction items, all while providing life-saving services to domestic violence victims and their children from the comfort of home.
Formerly known as the YMCA Wichita, the Wichita Family Crisis Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that opened Wichita’s first emergency shelter for domestic violence victims in 1976 with the primary goal of empowering, strengthening, and stabilizing families impacted by domestic violence. Annually, they offer services to more than 1,200 individuals fleeing domestic violence in Sedgwick County, Kansas.
