PHP Law Firm Combats Effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic Locally
At PHP Law Firm, we regularly get involved in the community, from giving away Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals game tickets to supporting worthy organizations like CASA of Sedgwick County, the Wichita Family Crisis Center and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. When the coronavirus pandemic began to affect our area, though, we realized that there was even more we could do for our community in this time of need!
Supporting Small Businesses
Since April 1, PHP Law Firm has been purchasing gift cards from locally owned businesses and choosing giveaway winners randomly through our Facebook. Companies from coffee shops to hair salons have benefited, and our Facebook followers have had a blast participating!
Funding Personal Protective Equipment
On April 20, PHP Law Firm made a donation to a local GoFundMe started by a collective group of first responders, health care professionals, educators, engineers and volunteers. The group is dedicated to manufacturing and distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Prior to April 20, the group had already completed and donated more than 4,000 face shields.
Providing Food and Shelter
Also on April 20, PHP Law Firm donated to two other local efforts. One is a coalition of local restaurants, non-profits, philanthropic businesses and individuals that is dedicated to providing food to vulnerable populations, including the elderly and children. The other is a special fund created by a local charity to help the hungry, homeless, lonely and abused.
